Unlike other services for tenant reference checks this does not cost anything. It is supported by advertising so feel free to click on the ads.

Why must I become a member?

Membership allows you to post your Bad-Tenants. Our legal department says we must be able to keep track of who is posting which Bad-Tenant. This way if any posts are made on the basis of race, color, religion and national origin, sex they can be pulled immediately.

What can I say about a Bad-Tenant?

When making any posting Bad-Tenant, you must comply with section 3604(c) of the Federal Fair Housing Act. This law generally prohibits stating, in any notice or ad for the sale or rental of a dwelling, a discriminatory preference based on any of the following protected categories:

• Race or Color
• National Origin
• Religion
• Sex
• Familial Status
• Handicap / Disability

I am listed as a Bad-Tenant and I don’t think I should.
